Parent & Community

Parent Involvement

We look forward to meeting and working with all our parents throughout the year. There will be many opportunities for conversations, collaboration, and celebration. Your support and encouragement will make a difference in the achievement of your children. We believe  a successful education occurs when there is shared leadership and joint responsibility between home and school. This relationship is based on trust, honesty, dedication and a genuine belief that the best education for all students results in continued high level of success - of all kinds.

School Council and Parent Auxilary Network of Dovercourt Association PANDA

This group of elected parents provides advice, assistance and consultation on school priorities and plans, as well as educational issues. PANDA is the fundraising organization at Dovercourt School. The group has been fundraising for materials and special events and assists in the organization of school functions.  In addition, PANDA organizes occasional hot lunches, school photos, and other special events. All parents automatically belong to the council and are encouraged to attend the general meetings held once a month.  Snacks will be served and babysitting is provided! School Council and Panda meet the third Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. (Please see calendar for confirmation.)
